The "Super Loop"

I know that we are all bummed out about not being able to ride Sansom Park, but if you need to get your dirt fix then look no further than Gateway Park. I've put together a loop that will take the rider from Colonel's to Gateway, and then way up North to Sansom. There are some stretches of road that takes riders through some "rougher" parts of town and through some of the nicest areas. I don't have a "g.p.s." map for the ride, but it's pretty simple.

Start by heading to Gateway on the Trinity Trail (using as much dirt path as possible), ride the 3.75 mile loop then get back on the T.T. and head to Oakhurst Scenic. Oakhurst will "t" with Watauga, take a left. Pass under I35 then go left onto Cold Springs and take the first right at Brennan Avenue. Head left on Decatur down to 23rd and head to the Stockyards. On the right you'll find a walking path that takes riders/pedestrians under Main st., this trail will dump out at 26th. Go West(left) on 26th all the way to Azle avenue and take a right. Ride on Azle avenue up to Roberts cut-off, then head west to Sansom park. After you hit up Sansom, go down Roberts to White Settlement and take a right. The T.T. will be on both sides of the river, so pick one side and head back to the shop or head up Burton hill and take the "inner loop" back to the T.T. @ 183.

I hope that this isn't very confusing. I am using this route a couple of times a week, so let me know if you want to join up on a nice long ride. And when the weather starts to warm up we should be able to ride Sansom park again, but for now this is a good route to get some great miles in and enjoy different parts of Ft. Worth.

Ok, someone doesn't think very highly of a bike shop. I wrote about a bike RIDE... if you have something that you would like to talk about then come on down to the shop and we can speak in person. Until then, enjoy riding your bike!
